Crucial Disclaimers: The Platform acts solely as a digital facilitator. Unless explicitly declared by a verified local council or official municipal team, Namma MLA is not an official government authority and cannot guarantee government action or resolution timeline for submitted complaints.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user, you agree that you shall NOT perform any of the following prohibited behaviors:
- Post or transmit abusive, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or threatening content.
- Spread fake news, rumors, or unverified civic misinformation.
- Upload unlawful political propaganda or false community grievances.
- Impersonate others, including public officials, ward coordinators, or neighbors.
- Upload copyright-protected media or code without prior permission from the rights holder.
5. Political Content Disclaimer
Namma MLA facilitates civic expression, meaning political opinions shared by community members belong solely to those respective users and do not represent the Platform.
We reserve the absolute right to moderate and remove content violating the election code, hate speech policies, defamatory statements, or items inciting communal/religious disharmony.
6. Data Collection Consent
By establishing your account, you consent to the collection of specific details necessary for ward routing, including:
- Profile Details (Name, gender, contact info).
- SMS-based Mobile Number verification.
- Geo-location data (if location permissions are active) for pinpointing complaints.
- Media uploads (photos of potholes, garbage dumping, etc.).
- Complaint tracking log.
Under the DPDP Act guidelines, this consent is specific, informed, and can be revoked by requesting account deletion.
7. User Generated Content
You retain the copyright ownership to any text, images, or media you post on the Platform. However, you grant Namma MLA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to display, store, process, edit, moderate, and publish this content within our ecosystem to facilitate resolution tracking.
8. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account access immediately, without prior notice, if you engage in:
- Spamming or filing fraudulent complaints.
- Abuse directed toward ward coordinators, volunteers, or other users.
- Violating the model code of conduct during official elections.
- Any illegal activities violating Indian laws.
9. Limitation of Liability
Namma MLA and its directors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from user-generated content, delayed government action, local political decisions, election outcomes, or references to third-party website links.
10. Intellectual Property
All app coding, software elements, logos, design templates, layouts, and branding assets remain the exclusive intellectual property of Namma MLA Private Limited or its licensing partners. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute these assets.
11. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party software including Firebase (notifications), Google Maps (location lookup), and SMS gateways. By using these features, you agree to comply with their respective service terms and privacy guidelines.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from these terms are subject strictly to the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
